Previously known as MOJO muscle recovery- I decided to rebrand it as Sports&Rec™ to better represent the primary focus on sports related injuries & athletic recovery needs. My personal experiences as a competitive multi-sport athlete guided me towards learning the importance of building a smarter training plan and consistent sports related treatment & self-care recovery through adaptive sports massage therapy.
My work process is to share real world experience and recovery solutions while offering the everyday athlete a personal performance & therapy plan that helps reduce injury risk and improve mobility with consistently attainable results! Through building and expanding the Sports&Rec™ brand, the goal is to create an athletic lifestyle & sports recovery model that gives the very best personalized attention and planning to the everyday athlete.
Throughout most of my life from grade school to college I was always actively participating in a sport. For 10 years in the Air Force, while working as a combat trained air controller and technical instructor in aerospace, I was building a base of knowledge in health and wellness. I designed & implemented strength and conditioning programs for my teammates and coached several club programs in football (soccer) and volleyball.
After completing training and getting licensed, I immediately went to work for a chiropractor so I could get as much hands on work with a varied population of patients. I decided after a year that I wanted to open my own practice and work solely on athletes. I went to every tennis club in Pasco and Pinellas county and set up my mobile therapy site at a lot of local tournaments. From there I went to local Golf Clubs and asked the club pros if I could work on them or set up my equipment by the range. After a few years of working in the tennis & golf scene I found some local triathlon races and worked on athletes before and after their race. In 2007 I worked as part of the sports medicine team for the AVP - pro beach volleyball tournament in Tampa and had the opportunity to work on some olympic athletes.
Over the course of two decades I've worked on high school, collegiate, amateur, and professional athletes in football, baseball, basketball, tennis, golf, soccer, beach & indoor volleyball, ultimate, ballet, swimming, lacrosse, bodybuilding, and a few dozen weekend warriors. I've had the pleasure of helping athletes understand their bodies better through specialized training & recovery. I wake up everyday creating value for others by constantly learning about the newest science in health & wellness as well as holding true to the values I grew up with- Do Good. Be Kind. Help Others.

Sports&Rec™ is designed to be the place any athlete would feel immediately comfortable receiving treatment at. We created an elevated vintage athletic club vibe in our studio and offer a personalized recovery playbook & program that helps each athlete understand how to better identify their own mobility patterns and manage movement issues to prevent future injuries from being season-ending.
We love sharing our knowledge and explain it in simple, relatable terms that aren't intimidating or confusing with the end goal being -so that you can move more efficiently & effectively throughout your lifetime. We value time well spent and we feel that what you're essentially buying is TIME- time spent recovering and making your body stronger and more resilient to pain and more adaptable to movement is an investment in adding more quality time to your life.
The favorite amenity of being a Sports&Rec™ athlete is -we are always available to you anytime during business hours- simply call or text us with your questions.
The best attire to wear is whatever is comfortable for you. We generally suggest that athletes arrive in shorts or leggings and a sports bra for females- but a tee will work just fine as well. We have a bathroom where you can change and wash up if you've just come from the gym or fitness class. The session will involve changing positions from face down to face up and even side-lying so non-restrictive clothing is just simple & easy.
Please take a moment to fill out the form and submit it via email or message.
This is required before we can confirm your first session. Thank you!
